ABOUT

My name is Kathryn Zacharatos, and I am a senior English student at Duquesne University. I will graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a minor in Creative Writing, as well as a certificate in Intercultural Awareness.

During my time at Duquesne, I became a member of multiple academic and social organizations, including the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and the Sigma Tau Delta honors society. As a member of the Duquesne Honors Society, I became an Honors Fellow and was awarded a $1000 grant to pursue research within the publishing industry. I presented my research at the national Sigma Tau Delta convention in New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as at the Undergraduate Research & Scholarship Symposium at Duquesne. I was also selected for membership in the Phi Eta Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa honors societies.

I also completed a semester at University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. During this time, I traveled to nine European countries and had countless educating and enriching cultural experiences, leading me to pursue a certification in Intercultural Awareness.

Upon my return to the United States, I completed an internship with Pittsburgh publishing house Autumn House Press, working as an editing and marketing intern for the press’s upcoming publications and website.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, going to concerts, and traveling.
